This mouse is excellent if you rest your forearm or elbow on the desk, but less so if your anchor point to the desk is your wrist -- since it's a vertical mouse, the weight of your arm will be resting on one wrist bone instead of the usual two, so make sure your forearm is on the desk. Was great and relieved pressure in my hand. But buttons are failing after 2 years. Looks to be a common issue, and recommended fix didn't work.

I've had 3m Ergo "joy-stick" mice for like 20 years due to RSI .. they're great but I still miss the scroll wheel and the proper dongle-less bluetooth connection this one has. I invested in this mouse after a co-worker recommended it for the fatigue and strain I felt in my wrist and arm. I saw an immediate improvement and only use this one now. The learning curve didn't take long at all.
As some of the other reviews pointed out, if you have large hands, it may not work as well. My husband doesn't like using it as much because he says it's too small for his grip. This is my favourite mouse out of all the ones I've owned. My wrist doesn't hurt from working on the computer all day anymore. I would also recommend getting the Logitech ergonomic wireless keyboard. It's definitely nicer on the wrist than the MX Master 3, but misses a lot in functionality for a higher price tag. The buttons on the MX Master 3 are more robust and less noisy. That model also has an extra scroll wheel. Compared to this, the MX vertical feels flimsy.

My main issue is that the extra buttons that are on the inside of the mouse are impossible to click without also clicking the regular mouse buttons. They are not placed in a sensible location.
