Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Mouse - Black

This mouses unusual shape makes this the most comfortable mouse I have found to use, however there is a production flaw that means that left click seems to fail after a year or two. This has not stopped me buying a replacement each time and I am currently on my third mouse! I got this mouse packaged with the Microsoft Sculpt wireless keyboard (which I love). I have been using it for 6 months.
Its shortcomings are:
*Jerky and erratic movement at times
*Buttons get jammed (they 'crunch' when I press them sometimes)
*The right button is where I grip the mouse so I often press it by accident when pressing the left mouse button.
*The 'back' thumb button is where I grip the mouse so I press it accidentally.
*pointless Windows button (you have to move your cursor to the menu anyway, so why not just click the menu button?)

*It is wireless
*Shares the same wireless dongle as the keyboard.

The wife used one of these for the last 8 months, and it was great for her working from home over lockdowns.
Alas - the new puppy decided it was also cool, and thought it would be a nice chew bone...and promptly destroyed it.

After a few years my older Sculpt mouse died, a small bit of plastic broke and it was impossible to fix myself, so I begrudgingly had to buy a whole new mouse. I really like the Sculpt mouse so much so that I decided to buy it again, so that should tell you everything.

These are really nice mice, and my "daily driver" at work.

The only negative is the USB key - it's not replaceable! Lose the key, throw away the mouse. Really poor that this is still the case, really should be like Logitech and have pairable USB keys, or better yet actual Bluetooth. These are really nice mice, and my "daily driver" at work.

I have an average size hand and found this perfect for a claw/finger hold. So I have my corner palm sitting on the mouse pad.

I’ve found this to be the only mouse I’ve tried that has ergonomic angle and not having to rest my whole palm on the mouse.

The right amount of mouse buttons to interact with the browser back and side to side, help with long lines of code.

Very happy with purchase. Easy ergonomic mouse to pick up and use right away, little in the way of getting use to it coming from a conventional mouse form factor unlike the upright ergonomic designs.
feels very conformable to use. only gripe is that the tracking accuracy isn't the best, micro movements arent picked up well (as a 2D CAD user), this probably would be unnoticeable for most people. One of the most comfortable mice ever. Low learning curve for an ergonomic, even Muggles can use this one (my former Logitech trackball used to confuse the heck out of people). I wish it was Bluetooth, or maybe that the receiver was a little smaller, because I leave it in my laptop and I worry about damaging it. One of the most comfortable mice ever. Great mouse for office use, but if you use this with receiver plugged into the back of your tower PC and placed on the ground, the reception will drop like crazy.
