*Maximum wireless transmission rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Range and coverage specifications are based upon test results under normal usage conditions. Actual wireless transmission rate and wireless coverage are not guaranteed and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection quality, and client condition.
*Use of MU-MIMO, DL/UL OFDMA and 1024QAM requires clients to also support those functions.
*Saving clients' battery power requires clients to also support the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard. Actual power reduction may vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors.
*Latency improvement requires that the AP and all clients support OFDMA.

Installing the TP-Link Archer AX20, the only trick was to ensure you used VLAN_ID=10 to talk to the Vodafone modem. Other than that it was simple.
HFC Internet connection of one Gbps. Got a Speedtest average over 700Mbps, peaking at just over 800Mbps from a PC with TP-Link Archer TX3000E PCIe card.
A great router to meet my needs until Hyperfibre multi-Gb connections are prevalent (and affordable).
Easy set up for Spark fibre, usually gives slightly >100Mb/s on my 100Mb/s plan
The set up parameters for Spark fibre are roughly described in the document "Set up a non Spark modem". Mainly Internet connection type: PPPoE, with username: email@example.com, password: anythingyoulike. Do not, as I initially did, overlook that IPTV/LAN should be enabled, with mode: New Zealand-UFB selected from the drop down list, or you may spend a bit of time nervously dissecting "Set up a non Spark modem" for "what on earth did i leave out?"
2.4GHz and 5GHz networks both penetrate a floor slab + gib board wall without problem.
This replaced my d-link nighthawk that randomly stopped working and required regular reboots. This router has now been running for over 9 months with no problems at all.
Easy setup. Plugged directly into fibre terminal. Setup on 2 degrees no problems. Range is ok. User interface and mobile app is good. Wifi6 is great.
Excellent value for money
The time from opening the box to internet took less than an hour.
Going through the installation process was very straightforward. It has preconfigured options for some NZ companies already so you only need to enter your username / password, connect the router to the ONT, and you're away.
Wifi is stable and fast, wired is of course excellent. WPS pairing is fast as well.
A great mid-range router for a decent price.
Fast and reliable
TP-Link Router Ax20
Very user friendly to install. One of the best interfaces via TCP/IP . Once you have the settings/codes for your ISP requirements using the TCP/IP avenue is quite intuitive.
Happy with performance - experienced a double of wifi speed and stability compared to unit from ISP.!!
Would buy again.
Best router, on a budget, for NZ spark fibre plans
Once we found the admin password and change the setting to accept NZ spark fibre. Finally have a router that can handle the 1g fibre speeds that I am paying for. The router was way cheaper than my previous one, another plus for TP-Link.
Very easy to setup, just follow the option. Works fine now with my Fibre box now.
Very good specs for its price, but a shorter range then I expected possibly because of all the interference (walls)
great entry+ level fibre router
Software and set up on these is pretty easy, functions etc are great for most users on fibre. has beam forwarding and other mod cons which does help alot.
It works just fine
Simple to set up and just works.
