TP-Link Deco E4 (AC1200) Dual-Band WiFi 5 Whole Home Mesh System - 3 Pack

We just moved into a 4-storey new build and the fibre box was located on the bottom floor in the garage. The wifi barely reached the second floor (living areas) but did not reach the third or fourth floors at all (bedrooms). I didn't realise how much we depended on internet until now. I could only put each unit on the first three floors and I wondered whether I needed to purchase another unit but it wasn't necessary...strong wifi signal reaches the top floor fine with full wifi bars there too. If you're experiencing wifi issues throughout the home, this is the perfect product.

Requiring a phone app to set up a device like this is only borderline acceptable. Requiring a phone app plus giving them your email address to set up an account before you're allowed to use the device is just incredibly anti-consumer behaviour. There's no reason they couldn't have made it plug-and-play. If they had, I'd have given it 4.5/5. This is a good system for extending your WIFI, but we found that using the mesh system actually caused some of our speeds to be slower than if we were connected directly to the modem. We had a mesh set up right next to our computer, and when we unplugged it, forcing our computer to connect to the modem, our speeds actually increased 4x. So don't assume that the mesh will end up improving anything. Amazing price & product. As I work from my home office my Wi-Fi was woeful being so far from the router, however after setting these 3 units up spread throughout the house I have full coverage no matter where I go on the property. 10/10 for this model.
