Wifi perfomance and range are both excellent

Lacks some fine grained feature control in the UI. But for consumer market that's to be expected. It's not as feature full as Mikrotik or ddwrt for example. But I bought it for its 5ghz band support and throughput.

The config has to be done from a smartphone which is weird. Editing it through browser gives you different options. Some of which are not exposed in the phone app. A bit weird.

Donation recommend this router to the general home user. Power users with very specific needs may be disappointed but maybe you can use it as a wifi only bridge on the back of a more featureful router from the likes of Mikrotik.

All in all a good product if you don’t want to use the generic model your isp supplied.

The mobile app is easy to use and has chat support built in and the support staff are fairly responsive and helpful

I've owned many router over the past decade. This one is by far the best router. It was super easy to set up. Has 4 gigabit ports and doesn't look ugly going about it. It has features like self correcting issues, easy to understand diagnosis, easy guest sharing and administration. Pretty impressive reception for such a small thing without those stupid aerials sticking out of it. :two_thumbs_up: I've owned many router over the past decade. This one is by far the best router. I owned expensive ASUS, Netgear and other brand routers. Always had issues with either range or bandwidth requiring range extenders all over.
Bought this box. No more range extenders, and performance is just fine. Sure some other similar routers may get better performance on wifi, but this one has more range and does not drop. The router looks very pleasing to the eye so its nice to have on display in the lounge. They have done a really good job and simplifying the setup by providing only what is necessary. The performance of the wifi is strong and stable like on my old Samsung Galaxy S5 and I connecting at a consistent 500Mbps+ around the whole house, 700Mbps+ when in the same room. My only issue with this is that you must get the amplifi app to be able to setup and configure this router. Normally you would access most routers through the web interface it has limited choices where the app has it all. For example in order to connect to SPARK you need to enable VLAN tagging so you can specify a VLAN ID of 10. You are unable to do this through the web interface and so you must download the app.

Set this device up two months ago and have not thought about it since. It just works perfectly to its specifications. While I was surviving with my existing router I now have a major improvement of wifi coverage throughout our large two storey house and into detached garage area as well so at this stage no need for mesh units. Easy setup - good looking - very informative app as well. Very pleased with my purchase and as always great customer service at PBTech Tauranga. So when you first get this device out of the box it didnt have the firmware which allowed it to connect to NZ fibre (no VLAN setting) , and without internet it's a bit of a challenge to update the firmware it requires, I managed by following a link on my phone and then uploading it to the device directly by following another link. The device itself is great, totally new idea, it is interactive with a touch screen and is very easy to use and configure. It also has great controls for managing specific device access. ie you can disable your childrens devices at the touch of the app.

It has improved my wireless speed and coverage over the 2degrees fritzbox 7360 with just this device on it's own, I am getting an extender just cos it will make it faster from a greater distance but this has not arrived yet.

Overall very happy so far, no complaints at all.
