After reading all the great reviews about this product, I went and bought a unit earlier today. Very much felt like I was opening an Apple product - the same great experience and packaging. Downloaded the app, attached the ethernet cable to my ISP modem, plugged in, upgraded firmware and we are a much happier family! Now have excellent Wifi strength in the end bedroom, whereas before it was only fair. We've moved all our devices to the new Amplifi wifi and have better coverage around our property and also speed. I bought this Amplifi from PB in Welly a few days ago. I've read about the router online and made my decision to purchase it. Best purchase ever

The very helpful staff member advised me to update the firmware of the Amplifi, as VLAN tagging is a new feature that has been added. This made the whole experience of owning and setting up this router a breeze.

After the firmware update, the setup process was unbelievably easy.

Bought two of the Amplifi routers almost a month ago now and set up in mesh mode (needed the LAN ports only available on the router units themselves). don't let the size fool you! this router is really powerful even without the extenders!

I bought this unit to replace the cheap orbi I got just because the signal on it was poor and the speed was slow when connected to the satellite! This one is basically the same cost as the set but the range is further than the 2 combined!! If you have a bigger house you can buy the extenders as needed and since it is a mesh network you get all the benefits of seamless transition and auto switching between the 5ghz and 2.4ghz network without any user input! don't let the size fool you! this router is really powerful even without the extenders!

The coverage is consistent and strong through the house. It also reaches into the patio area and gives coverage for BBQ's and sound systems across the network.

I set up a single router in a 2 story house. Took 5 minutes, works across the whole house.
Very good speed, simple & useful mobile app. The desktop web page is a little too basic.
Firewall wise it puts all ports on silent, except responds to pings. Minor issue.

I have struggled to get good wi-fi coverage in my apartment for three years. Now finally, three routers later I have the best wi-fi coverage I've ever had. I was having endless issues with IP assignments and duplicates with my rubbish skinny modem, I was recommended this router by a networking friend of mine and it’s absolutely brilliant. My Sonos system works flawlessly now thanks to this router doing its job correctly! Had a little trouble at first changing the home network over to this router, but found it was better to configure using a laptop, as opposed to the app. After that it has been great. It has increased our wireless network speed considerably, as my older Apple airport extreme was obviously limiting us. It also has a much more powerful antenna which is pushing the speeds up in the furthest rooms of the house. Very happy I bought this. I've had this for about a month now and it's great! Internet is faster, installation is easy, the app is easy to use, and I can actually have everything connected at the same time now compaired to my last ISP supplied router that had a low limit for connected devices.
