LG CineBeam HU710PB 4K Smart Portable Laser Projector

Having recently upgraded from a Samsung Freestyle (Gen 1) we could definitely tell the difference in brightness, contrast and overall video quality of the LG Cinebeam Q. However, as our projector is positioned behind and above our heads the remote signal is very poor and needs to be at a certain angle (you need to try multiple times to connect). I brought HY320, When I tired to connect with laptop, but it looks not good piture. And it used 230 lumens, looks ok.

So I brought the LG projector, and tried to connect with laptop. It look very good piture and more clear. It has laser with 4k, and 500 lumens is look better. I love it.

I give you a advice, I think you should watch on youtube or website first. Maybe you can purchase a LED or laser projector.

I'm upgrading from an LG ph250 projector from 10 years ago that had 300ansi and was 720p.

This projector, at 4k and 500ansi is indeed better. It is bright enough that you can have a lamp on in the room and still get decent picture. It will get washed out in strong daylight, but cloudy days impact is about the same as a lamp. I will happily be playing games on this. Can't wait.

The remote is a massive improvement on the old style and the apps and Apple airplay are excellent additions.

Why am I giving this 4 stars?
They haven't upgraded the speaker in 10 years, that's for sure. Tinny as a $10 rip-off.
Noise. This is actually noisy. You can hear that fan going no matter what mode. It's... Disappointing. I'm hoping once this is plugged into a real speaker and is in the right spot I'll get less noise, but I'm not holding high hopes on this. It looks like how they measure sound output has changed. You don't really want to be sitting right next to this when it's going. 3m away would be ideal.

Do I regret this?
No. Being able to play video games on a massive screen is super exciting. The noise I can deal with because of the way I'm set up. Brightness is an improvement. I imagine 800-1000ansi would be day-playable, so if you're waiting for that brightness to be more affordable maybe wait for the next model.
