Externally, Aura Sync RGB illumination and an integrated OLED information panel enable unique customization and monitoring options for your ROG gaming rig. Under the hood, high-quality capacitors, a 135mm Wing-blade fan, and large heatsinks allow the ROG Thor 1200W to achieve LAMBDA A+ and 80 PLUS® Platinum certifications, making it ideal for PC enthusiasts who demand performance perfection.
Aura Sync Outshine the competition
ASUS Aura Sync is an illumination ecosystem that lets you synchronize lighting effects across your gaming rig, components, and peripherals. The ROG Thor lets you take full control with internal Aura RGB LEDs that connect to the 4-1 addressable RGB header on select motherboards.
- Two included connector cables allow you to connect the ROG Thor to the addressable RGB header featured on select ASUS Motherboards or to create a daisy chain of ROG Addressable LED Strips.
- If the the connector cables are not used, the ROG Thor's default effect and color is static red.
OLED Power display
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum is the first PC PSU in the world to feature an integrated OLED panel, offering a real-time display of power draw. Now you can see at a glance how much juice your rig is using.
Wing-blade fan
We've equipped the ROG Thor 1200W Platinum with a 135mm patented Wing-blade fan to maximize component lifespan. IP5X dust-resistance keeps it spinning freely and 0dB technology utilizes thermal sensors to allow the fan to switch off completely at lower wattages - enabling totally silent operation.
ROG Heatsink
The integrated ROG heatsinks have 2x more volume than traditional designs, resulting in 20% lower temperatures inside the ROG Thor 1200W Platinum. This extends the lifespan of components and allows 0dB operation for a longer duration than standard designs. The heatsinks are so effective that fan noise never exceeds 20dB, allowing ROG Thor to achieve LAMBDA A+ certification.
80 Plus platinum certification
The ROG Thor 1200W Platinum utilizes top-end Japanese capacitors to ensure efficient operation. This has earned an 80 PLUS Platinum certification, which guarantees 89% efficiency at 100% load and 92% at 50% load. The increased efficiency produces less heat, reducing fan noise and increasing reliability.
Sleeved cables
We know you'll want to get building right away, so we've included high-quality sleeved and standard cables. The sleeved cables include one 24-pin, four 6+2-pin PCI-e cables and two 8-pin CPU cables. We've also included an RGB connector that plugs into the addressable RGB header on your ASUS motherboard.
The ROG Thor comes with two types of PCI-E power cables in the box: an individually sleeved set for showcase systems, and, to fuel heavily overclocked graphics cards, cables with embedded capacitors that reduce voltage ripple

Runs my setup well
So far no complaints this is easily handling my setup which is very maxed out
Beautiful PSU
If you don't mind the extra cost, this is a beautiful and quality PSU. The base PSU components are actually manufactured by Seasonic, which I normally choose for all my other builds and are top quality. I have never had a Seasonic PSU fail or cause stability issues with a system in many years of using their products. ASUS has added value with the LED lighting, OLED display (which is actually accurate, and a bit useful), and many extras included in the box such as high quality braided cables and cable combs. I actually purchased an aftermarket CableMod cable kit to replace the included cables, but only because I wanted red braided cables...view more

Amazing for high end systems
You can't go wrong with ASUS and their ROG line up. It handles any system like a champ. So if you have the coin for it, i would pick it up in a heartbeat. Just make sure you know you may not be able to see the lcd panel on the side depending on your case. Otherwise it is a fantastic power supply and it has Rgb.
