Google Chromecast with Google TV 4K - Snow

Using it for almost a year now and had no problems so far. It's plugged in on an 11 year old TV with hdmi and it makes it a smarter tv. Used it for streaming online and casting android smartphone and windows laptop on the tv and it works like a charm Using it for almost a year now and had no problems so far. This is the standard for streaming to TVs with no 'smart' functionality. This worked seamlessly after set-up.

I bought this for work (stream the RWC) and it work perfectly. Originally, we wanted to purchase the HD model as we're not using it on a 4K TV but this model was out of stock.

I fitted this unit to a TV in our bedroom that wasn't as smart as modern TV's. As well as casting from the phone, using the Chromecast also allowed us to access internet media we previously couldn't on the TV. Setup was a breeze. It just worked and worked well. Very handy features, easy to setup, Google TV makes this purchase worth it alone. Went from an older model chromecast to this one, it's like moving up a tier in technology. Having come from the US, I wanted to watch some channels on my smart TV but didn't have a router that would use my Express VPN subscription. Chromecast + Google TV solved that as Express VPN is one of many VPN apps available thru the Google/Android store. Works seamlessly!

The only warning for film lovers, Chromecast does that annoying "motion smoothing" that makes films look like shot-on-video. There's a setting to take care of that.
