This sort of cooling setup is perfect for smaller systems where space is limited. It keeps my Ryzen 2600 much cooler than the wraith stealth cooler that was included. Idle temps are approx 10°C cooler while load temps are a whopping 30°C cooler, at around 60°C.

It’s reasonably quiet with the pump being audible when idling. Unfortunately this cooler doesn’t work with Corsair Link/iCue software. Purchased this to thermally control a Xeon 1275v2 77 watt processor in the micro format chassis of the HP Microserver Gen8. Easy to install without any significant challenges (I was ready for a challenge given the compact space), and in real life testing with a fully kitted server - 4 RAID quality HDD's (no power save) + SSD + Xeon + NVIDIA GPU board - the whole environment cools dramatically better now that the heat is being pulled from the processor so efficiently. I was not chasing silence (the server is sitting away from main use rooms in the home), but of course it is quiet. In fact I lifted the speed of the chassis fan given online comments about the radiator inhibiting airflow - and whilst I can see that being a theoretical issue - the case in real life testing - 2 or 3 hours continuous rendering hammering a HDD, SSD, GPU and CPU at 80% - in reality the online comments from self-professed experts were rubbish. Cooling is more than sufficient pulling air through the radiator. I suggest if you are thinking about doing these things just do them, and factor back the online expert opinions a bit! I waited too long looking at opinions from people who work from what they think - not from what they know.

My CPU used to overheat when playing any intensive game, eg. I couldn't get past the first game of Rainbow Six Seige. I bought this cooler, temperatures of all 4 cpu cores now run under 40 C, and all these problems have been solved!
