The visual effects on this are brilliant.

This replaced my , what I now think as ugly cooling tower, which also took away from the aesthetics of my board.

Slightly better cooling, though that was never an issue.

The cooler itself works well. It easily keeps my Ryzen 7 5700x under control (running a bit of an OC, including under long stress tests etc.)
The included fans are excellent. nice and quiet and move a lot of air.
The pump head however has an unavoidable whine due to the minimum pump rpm of ~2200 (most peoples' ears will tune it out so long as you leave it set at a constant speed)
The main DOWNSIDE of this cooler is that it's controls are tied in to the corsair iCUE software which is hot garbage. Either you're going to want to get ALL corsair everything (at least as far as RGB components go) or accept that the cooler will be sitting on default fan curves(which are, admittedly, fine as far as I've used it) if, heaven forbid you want to use better RGB control software like SignalRGB.

It keeps my aging i7-7700K at 65 degrees max under full load in a warm room. The iCUE software is also very good, it allows you to monitor your temps and play with the RGB colours till the cows come home. These fans not only look good, they perform well too. This is the second one I purchased in a month, as the first one exceeded my expectations, so I replaced the cooler on my 2nd PC with one too.

My cpu was running a standard old Intel fan, the last relic of my old setup. Temps regularly ran over 90 degrees. I thought about a new fan but I'm so pleased I went for this instead. I couldn't believe my eyes when I checked the temp after an hour of playing an intense graphics and cpu game, 27 degrees! Less than a third of previous temps!
