SilverStone FW81 80mm PWM Case Fan 4pin Blue/White

The FW81 is a high quality, standard sized 80mm fan designed for optimal performance with low noise profile. It uses the award-wining fan blade design from AP123 with three distinct shape and sizes to create uneven airflow which is capable of reducing noise frequency effectively compared to traditional fan designs. Powered via PWM 4pin connector, the FW81's speed can be adjusted by supported motherboard or fan controllers to be used for silent running builds or for cooling a high performance machine.

A good little exhaust fan

My parents old PC had no fans so I added this to the exhaust port to improve ventilation and put a stronger fan in the front. The case is not really designed for good airflow but this is definitely helping. PWM works well too.

Solved a noise problem.

Bought a second hand SFF PC with AsRock Mobo and the 80mm case fan was very noisy.
It was a 3 wire fan so thought the BIOS could control it but after setting it on quiet mode, it made no difference to the fan speed. Tried custom fan settings but still no change.
As the header had 4 pins I thought I should try a 4 wire fan so bought this and bingo! Now have full control of fan speed and noise output. Well worth the cost, recommended.

7 day right of exchange
