Used this for around two years and never had any problems. Compared to other adapters with a snap-on two-usbc connection this singular usbc connection cord makes it a lot sturdier and more portable. Nice quality aluminium construction. Much much smaller than pictures suggest, which means the electronics have been shrunk down - which always makes me nervous about performance. Upside: The USB ports and card reader work well. Downside: the HDMI output - not so much. I get a functional signal to my monitor about 70% of the time when I connect my M1 Mac. On my Dell Latitude I get an HDMI signal to my monitor almost never - works about one in 15 tries. Have used both cheap and super thick expensive HDMI cables with equivalent results. Good product- had out for a month. No issues so far, seems well made, does everything it should and nicely styled. My MacBook Air is my primary work tool and a multi port is an essential adjunct. I bought this just over a month ago and I usually like to give products some solid use before reviewing. It works great, handles my MacBook power cable, usb stick, expansion drive and screen all plugged in with ease. It would probably handle more. Tends to heat up a little but not enough to be a concern. Went back and bought another version that has an ethernet port for work. Highly recommended. Product as specified. It organises my laptop accessories well. Seems to heat up when using photography post processing apps when the mouse is plugged in to it.
