The light bulbs are easy to install and use. Gives great brightness and colour given it's super low price compare to other brands. Mi never fails in delivering affordable quality goods. I have a few of these and they all work well with the app. Easy to change colour and save favourites. Wish it had more animated/automation modes though like fade or cycle through specific colours. I use this as a crafting light in a floor lamp beside my chair and being able to adjust the colour of the bulb against what im working on is amazing

I have Yeelights and these Mi bulbs (same company). The Mi ones can only be used via the Mi Home app which is not user friendly, very glitchy and half of its functions do not work at all.

I'd thought it was my eyesight and old age, I've had many different lighting solutions, before the hue set there was a company called wifi lights that used a hub to communicate to the bulbs via remotes. In any case, I read somewhere that the hue bulbs were always that dim, though that didnt explain the random power on/off on some of them. infact some bulbs would come back on randomly after months of nothing and then disappear just as suddenly.

Enter the Mi smartbulbs. Its like going from a hotel bedside lamp to an operating theatre, with the option to still get that amber glow if its your wish. The fact is, these bulbs are just amazing so far, blown away by the fact they're less than half the cost of a hue. in some cases, considering they are also the full colour ones, less than a third the price of a hue bulb.

The mi home app was quick and easy to set the bulbs up in, you enter add mode in the app and point your phone at the light, it uses bluetooth to setup the initial thing and then its all paired. My family hasn't had to do anything different either; all of our lights are on voice and thanks to mi integrating with Alexa the new lights are responding alongside the remaining hue lights that have a stay of execution in positions I'm not worried about having white light.

Absolutely a worthwhile purchase.

Even when you are pressing your phone, with the correct app installed, up to the device, and then the router, there is still a chance it won't connect properly.

Avoid buying these bubs. Fork out a little extra for more up to date products. The bulb does everything it's supposed to...if you can get it connected to your wifi.

Using for a month and it is awesome.
Good controls, easy to install, and the automating programs you can set, like making it turn on just before your alarm clock so it helps you wake up. Or puting a timer when about to sleep in bed so you don't need to manually turn off.
