Got this camera for a good price, Have been using arlo products for 2 years now
however it does have some pros and cons
pros: during day image is clear, cons: during night image can be pixelated specially doing zoom
pros: 3 months trial for subscription, cons: without subscription it stop recording even if you have a smarthub and functionalities will be reduced
pros: long period without recharge
pros: you can link this cam directly to your router instead of smarthub, cons: having more than 5 cameras on a router will overload ip addresses (without arlo smarthub) specially when have multiple "smart" things

I have bought 4k, 2k and the 1080 versions and am impressed with all of them. I like this camera because it doesnt need the base station, which makes it more flexible. Camera works well. Identifies selected vehicles, people and animals. Important to identify your activity zones to ensure you don’t capture people walking past your home.
Battery only lasts less than a month when left on 24/7.

This camera hardware is fantastic, the app Let's it down.
Activity zones are not able to be bent to a certain area as they are square based.
The app is slow, buggy and has latency issues.

Camera is fantastic, arlo app and customer support not so much...which is why the basic subscription is cheap. This camera hardware is fantastic, the app Let's it down.

Great knowing when and who or what comes into our property.
Although notices are a little slow and our live feed to camera lags about 3 or 4sec.
But easy to install, still seeing how the battery lasts.

I purchased one of these about 4mths ago, I also got the solar panel as I am away often and not about to recharge. As a single lady on my own I found it very easy to install and set up. Very clear images. Only down fall for me is I live down a shared lane so it captures kids playing and neighbours up and down the lane. Doesn't connect to app even though its connected to the network. This is the second Arlo product I have to take back. None of them seem to work as advertised.
