Was looking to upgrade my entire system for video editing and gaming and couldn’t be happier with this recommendation. Wasn’t hesitant to switch from Intel to AMD but am so glad I did. While a bit expensive compared to the better-value 5600x, this CPU with it's 8 cores/16 threads and impressive per-core performance is a great upgrade from my 7700k.

I am no longer bottle-necked in any game (especially older titles) with an RTX 2080, and can have countless other applications running simultaneously while gaming, with an overhead that doesn't even push the CPU to it's limits. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking at the 5600x but is able to spend a bit extra and would make use of the utility that the extra cores give.

Great cpu a weapon of a chip. Most say they run warm is a load of it. Runing a Cryorg H5 behind this chip base frequency already at 4.2. Barely idles insane omh for price & value worth waiting for at sub $600 price bracket. First x rated chip I bought runs so cheap on idle this generation been a step up for AMD.
