AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU

If you like to game, but also have lots of other tasks running at the same time this CPU is a good solution without splashing out for the Ryzen 9.

Have this cooled by a Corsair H60. so far temps are really good on load. Anyway, I sacrificed some performance for a little peace! The fans started like crazy (Hyper 212X) and the temperature is 50-60c when idle! But it is like a "super" computer (upgraded from 1600X and Asus B350 plus that is not compatible with the new generation).
I searched for a solution on the net, but in the end I couldn't find anything! So, I tried some simple configurations and one of them just worked! The heat was 30-40c when idle and never reached 50c when in normal load (games and music software). I combined this CPU with Gigabyte B550 motherboard, 1 TB Samsung M.2 SSD and 16GBx2 HyperX DDR4 3200 (memory works at 2400, so you might take another brand).

Fantastic CPU, I went from a 3600 the 5800x. Amd couldn't have made it any easier to swap processors.
I did have to upgrade my cooler, was going straight to 90c in cinebench with my hyper 212 cooler master air cooler. Replaced it with kraken z73 and I can run cinebench all day long and it stays around 70c. I really wanted the 5900x but wasn't in stock and it is mainly just used for gaming so I'm not really missing out on any performance. It is a hell of a CPU for its price. Massively fast CPU that is great for gaming and productivity. Runs flawlessly on B550 boards.

I brought the 5800x because the 5600x was out of stock everywhere and I wanted a current gen AMD CPU asap, the 5600x is better value purely for gaming but the 5800x is actually in stock so is far more valuable in that regard...
I didn't think i'd need the extra cores but its nice to have after a month of use and for 'futureproofing'. Clock speeds are as advertised actually boosting up to 4,850mHz out of the box with no OC. I am using a Noctua NH-U12S air cooler in a mid-tower case and temps range from 65-70°C during long gaming sessions.

Got this running at 4600GHz across all 8 cores no worries.
