* accurate weighing. can track subtle weight changes in detail using app. great for weight loss/gain goals.
* easy set up with app.
* compares your weight and other stats (BMI, body fat, muscle mass, etc.) with peers of same age/gender/height, and tell you if yours is normal or too low/high.

CONS
* cannot use to weigh without app. can be a hassle.
* battery not built in, therefore is not rechargeable. batteries not included either, so must 4 AAA batteries prior.
* PBTech warranty does not cover software malfunctions, so good luck if that internal software crashes, or if it becomes incompatible with the app when it updates.

* be wary of what you let your app access or you'll be sending private info out without your knowledge. remember that this is a China product, and they are notorious for data theft. best use a fake email and details to sign up.
* hilariously confusing results. it says I am :
- underweight, too little fat and too low BMI
- eat too much protein, too little muscle mass
- too little bone mass
- have a body age of a 17 year-old (despite being 32) but lack exercise.
- normally hydrated
- conclusion : I'm a walking container of water, air and excrements only held together by skin.

All in all, it's a good purchase since I got it on sale but take those stats and findings with a grain of salt. Not worth the full price though :)

Good decision that I upgraded my scale to this one. Very easy to use as well as the app. I love how it auto record your weight. Design is pretty simple yet elegant looking. Happy with my purchase.

Overall, the scale is very useful and would measure up to 2 decimal precision.

If you were to use the MiFit app, you have more functionality to measure other things.
The scale + app allows you to measure BMI and check your body balance capability.

So just be aware. I'm not too worried as I'm not a competition builder or anything like that, nor am I at risk of trying to lose more than around 4kg at the moment, but if you were a sensitive soul and didn't realise the variables you could potentially get yourself in trouble.

Also, I cannot find anywhere any information about how it calculates the basal metabolic rate. It is constantly putting me at 'low' around 1100 and suggests I go for a walk :-D This remains the same whether I'm on my feet all day, have worked out, have been playing more than 90mins of football. I suspect it wants me to enter my activity somewhere, but instructions aren't clear and I can only find ways to add walking or running that include GPS tracking on the go. I don't like to carry my phone everywhere so not going to do that and just end up ignoring this pretty vague part of the puzzle.

Overall am happy though. All I wanted was a stable measure that could track progress, and it is doing that. I started an Optimal Nutrition plan recently, and over four weeks went from 35% fat down to the current 33.4%, and can see that there has been a difference.

All the usual things like drinking water and exercise influence the daily fluctuations, but overall it seems to give a fair crack at tracking progress. So for the price, sure, go for it!

Works really well, very good value for money. Connects to your phone and app through bluetooth. Batteries can drain after a month depending on how many people are standing on it each day.
