Sennheiser HD 599 Wired Over-Ear Headphones - Ivory

Comfortable to wear for long sessions, good build quality and I like the removable cord option for replacements. Sound is not as clinical as the 560S but with the more solid base and warmer sound, they have a more fun factor, especially with live music. They still have plenty of detail and the open cans gives you a wide sound stage. Picked them up at the sale price, you really can't go wrong. Using these with an E10K-TC, sounds fantastic, however at this point the headphones are quite old, and the HD560s outperform the 599s for less money. Buy these if you can get them cheaper than the 560s. A great sounding headphone much better then my old headphones which was the MX 40 from Audio Technica. The sound sounds extremely balanced, fits my ears pretty well and just was a straight up great purchase. One thing to note is that I did not buy this full price but during its sale so which is why I'd recommend to not try to buy this at full price if necessary. So glad I picked this up for BF sales, They are absolutely fantastic for the price. Comfort and sound quality is top notch, If you can look past the brown colors I'd highly recommend. These headphones, being open backed, obviously leak a lot of sound but they have the open, clear, clean sound I was looking for to help with my hobby of music production. Comfy enough, fairly light and external sounds can still be heard. Great sounding headphones, also have the Sennheiser momentum over ears, which are musically more accurate, but don't provide the same sense of space, and are not as comfortable for extended listening. These are excellent. I have Apple Music which is now lossless and higher bit rate. By plugging these into the Apple lightning to audio jack dongle (which has a built in DAC), wow what a difference. I wanted good quality open backed headphones at a great price to experience the audio difference and these fit the bill perfectly as a starting point. Highly recommend. These are excellent.
