Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black

Had a pair of PXC-550s and they were great before they stopped charging. Finally bit the bullet and got a pair of 550-IIs and am stoked, forgot how much I love them. Sound quality is fine, but two features make this product frustrating and WORSE than the cheaper options:

1) 'Touch' buttons outside each ear can't be turned off. This means you CAN'T WEAR A HOOD while using the headphones. Otherwise it will randomly start and stop your audio, adjust the volume and even start re-dialing people.

2) The battery life is TERRIBLE because the headset never stops scanning for Bluetooth connections (even when turned off). My last set of headphones (which were half the price) lasted almost a week without recharge, whereas this set only lasts a day.

Great product with great sound quality, noise cancelling is effective and all around awesome for the pirice. Only issue is not having an in-line mic with the chord and you have to buy it seperate, but other than that it is awesome for the price. Absolutely no noise cancelling on the microphone, if there is a puppy breathing on the other side of the house the recipients in your call or conference will be hearing a jet engine... All exaggerations aside, I had assumed that Sennheiser would have some tech to isolate voice audio from the user and filter out others voices, noises and things around you but they just don't. Absolutely do not buy these if you have to make calls in an office or in any kind of populated spaces. Pros:

These phones do the trick nicely. They can connect to two different devices at once. Sound and noise cancelling is great, and the microphones work very well in calls. The touch/gesture controls on the right hand side take a bit of getting used to but work pretty well. Two small annoyances with multiple devices - if you're listening to music and your phone receives a notification then the headset switches connections twice and that is quite slow. Also when you hang up a call, sometimes it will randomly start playing whatever music or podcast was playing previously, which is unexpected. These phones do the trick nicely. Please be aware that if you have a phone and a tablet, you can't really watch a movie on a tablet and read the news on a phone. Every time you touch the phone - the sound switched over to the Mobile and interrupts a movie.

These arrived very quickly and super easy to set up. There are well presented in a hard fabric case.
