These headphones saved my sanity! I needed a good noise cancelling solution due to a very noisy environment and needing to get things done. They're a bit pricey, but worth every penny. The noise cancelling is great, the cover-to-hear function so helpful, and I would recommend these to anyone needing advanced noise cancelling solutions. Five stars! These headphones saved my sanity! After using the Sony Xm2 for three years I was surprised by the difference in materials, and softness of the cups.

Really pleased that the multiple microphone's are far clearer.

Although the hands-free separate channel is still annoying.

The noise-cancelling on these headphones are almost like wearing earmuffs but with music.

These headphones are great! By far the best I've ever owned. The noise cancelling works so well, the sound quality is amazing, and I can wear them for long periods of time without discomfort. The battery life is also great, just an all round awesome pair of headphones. Would definitely recommend, and I would repurchase these in a heartbeat if I ever needed to for some reason. Unfortunately, I have mine like for 2-3 hours before I started an RMA guarantee return. My XM4 had a continuously developing "windy" noise in the right ear cup with NC on, which made the headphone unusable after ~15mins... caused nausea and discomfort, so I returned it in the guarantee asap. Probably the process will take at least a month or so...
Beyond the unluck with the faulty piece, the XM4 sounds incredible, there is some improvement compared to the XM3 in sound quality and NC too.

The most obvious difference is the level of comfort. The ear cups are significantly larger, but the pads are still too soft, so the left ear could touch the proximity sensor inside the cabin. Could be bothering after a while, but I had no chance to try it for the long term. Probably a good Dekoni replacement pad will help the issue as before in case of the XM2 and XM3 too.

A common problem that you won't come across searching for it unless it already happened to you is that using a charger outside the one supplied voids warranty and even if you use the supplied charger only this model is prone to battery problems where it stops charging all together and even whilst charged always reports only 10% battery.

Great sound quality but most importantly, awesome noise cancellation. With no music playing, ambient noise is almost completely cancelled out with even abrupt voices taking a significant sound reduction. You pretty much can't hear anything else but the music when its playing above 25%. I wish I coughed up the money for these headphones sooner. I have always struggled with hyperactivity causing frequent breaks in my concentration, but these headphones have really been a game changer for me and my studies. They feel nice in the hand and come with a nice protective hard shell case. I use these at home, watching TV, and at work listening to relaxing music, on low to noise cancel out our very noisy office environment. Perfect on both fronts. I used a friend's pair four years ago, not sure if it was the exact same model, but same line. Tried BOSE and Sennheiser as well before purchasing.

Really impressed with the sound quality at the price point & noise cancelling turning itself off when I speak so that I can cross roads safely. Tap to pause on the right ear pad is also super useful. Having an AUX port as well as Bluetooth is great.

Only thing, I cant wear them for hours at a time because my left ear starts to hurt. I think it may be because I wear glasses or that ear is a diff shape to my right ear ?
