We got the G920 for both Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7. Whilst it is good fun there are a couple of key differences between using a gaming wheel like this and a real steering wheel in a car. First is that there is a delay between when you turn the wheel in your hands and when the wheels of your car actually turns. The second thing is you can overcome this steering delay issue by always having the view set to so you are in the car. That way you can see the steering wheel move so can make smaller adjustments and therefore is much easier. I personally like using the view from outside, above and behind your car, but this means you can't see the steering wheel so you invariably end up oversteering all the time.
Also note you can tweak settings for the gaming wheel, so you can go online and get recommendations for each game on what the best settings are. Unfortunately Logitech or the game publisher don't provide these, so they can be a little hit and miss.
Final thoughts are that it comes down to a simple question: do I want to drive with the in-car view? If the answer is yes then you will really enjoy a steering wheel. If the answer is no then I would not get a wheel. But there is an easy way to test this, just use your normal xbox controller before buying and test out the two views.

Solid wheel for gaming at a pretty reasonable discount from rrp, probably the best you could get at the price and easy to set up at a desk in case you dont have a stand. The fact that you have to have the logitech software open for it to work is a minus, however it's not the worst thing in the world. My only experience with a sim wheel but it has nice build quality and the ffb is pretty good. Only had the wheel for about 2 weeks but I expect it to last a long time. The pedals can be a bit hard to get great results with for trail braking etc but can’t complain too much for the price. Would recommend for a first timer or non sim racer.
