Most headphones, and phones, come with 3.5mm plugs or slots, but Apple didn't get the memo. No worries though. This little adapter will give many more years of life to your favourite headphones with the 3.5mm plug. Most headphones, and phones, come with 3.5mm plugs or slots, but Apple didn't get the memo. It can work well but the connection point is a little too big which can make plugging it in finicky and prone to making loud interference noises unless you get it in the right spot. Only exists because apple removed the aux port for a fake home button with no extra use. Now need to spend money buying adapters that fail in less than a year with regular use. Or buy wireless headphones so you have even more things to charge with less sound quality. Will be looking for a 3rd party solution after having bought THREE of these that have failed since I purchased my phone less than a year ago.
