Have found this power line adapter does what it supposed to in providing good WIFI extension and another ethernet port. You just have to check that you have suitable power points in the areas where you intend to use the base unit and extender unit, because its quite bulky, and should not be plugged into a power outlet strip. Also I forgot I had an old power line adapter still plugged in and this interfered with the NETGEAR unit at first. Once this old one was removed the NETGEAR unit has worked perfectly since purchase in May. I wanted something to help with our WiFi in a downstairs office, in which video conferencing was patchy. I was a bit sceptical about how this would work, but it works perfectly with now 4 bars on WiFi. Easy to set up, just plug in at either end and turn on! But note - it does use a different WiFi name and passcode. I like that I can easily move it around and plug it into our bedroom at the other end of the house. Got this today, plugged it in and setup super easily. I was getting patchy wifi in my home office which was causing some difficulties with my online meetings. Signal strength is now 5 bars, wifi quality is great and I have better wifi coverage at the far end of my home as a result. Got this today, plugged it in and setup super easily. We needed something to extend the wifi during lockdown as the kids were trying to do school work and the wifi in some parts of the house wasn't great. This did the job superbly. Was easy to set up - literally took 10 mins to take out of box and plug it in into the 2 separate sockets. Our wiring is about 10 years old on the house so the two plugs are not on the same circuit but we haven't found that to effect the performance at all.
