Easy to use Router
Reasonably easy to setup on Spark Fibre. Used settings on Spark site for non-Spark Modem to get it talking to the ONT.
Good QOS and monitoring features. Easy firmware updates for the SRM. Alerts and Scheduled Reports can be emailed to you.
Compared to Spark's Huawei Router/WIFI, this unit has a very powerful WIFI range. What was 3/5 bars at 30 metres in steel framed house, the Synology is 5/5 bars.
Have setup a 5GB USB stick to store log files ... so easy to do.
Big improvement over Spark router, stable 5GHz WiFi, lots of nice app features like Intrusion Prevention, VPN Plus Server with a nice interface. Get a decent SD card for the apps to be save and run from.
Strong wifi signal everywhere
Super strong wifi with huge range. Was using standard Spark router and was having lots of connectivity and speed issues. The Synology Router RT2600ac is fast and has a huge range. If you are looking for fast and reliable wifi this product is awesome. Took 15 minutes to set up and has worked perfectly since.
awesome router
have used synology NAS for years now (still run a couple) - I chose them as the best option to trust all my data with - and this router just builds on that reputation. fantastic software, head and shoulders above the competition in both power and simplicity. great parental controls, awesome mesh support (i have synology satellite wifi [points too). everything about this is really well thought through.
Great product
The best thing I did was get the Synology Router RT2600ac.
Whoever designed it thought of everything. It is very configurable and feature rich.
It has a web front end for configuring and mobile app interface as well.
Don’t get hung up on the price. Once you have used it you will see the value.
Synology have great documentation on line which explains all the features and settings.
There is excellent video’s on Utube as well for the product.
The wifi is Very reliable and strong through the whole home.

Easy to set up and quickly in place.
Better than expected
So easy to set up, much better than the Spark provided router, no device drop outs after 1 months use, was previously getting periodic drops with the Spark router. Auto negotiation works a breeze, nice security features. Great router for the price.
Very easy install and works great
The installation of this router is very and intuitive.
The range is excellent.
I really like the phone app to monitor and adjust my settings its just so easy.
Excellent coverage
This router is steps ahead of the ones provided by our ISP. We have a two level house and the WiFi signal from the ISP router was weak and unreliable downstairs. With the Synology router the WiFi signal is strong throughout the house with no need for a booster. Not cheap but very good value for money.
Great router, super simple to set up with myrepublic fibre
Easy setup, greater internet (more range + better speeds compared to the default myrepublic one) works extremely well with the Synology disk stations, and looks mean!
The only downside I can think of is the price for it, considering it was released in 2016, (have range / speed advancements been made since then?) however that doesn’t mean to say it isn’t worth it.
Excellent Router - Very Strong WiFi
Baught the Synology Router to replace the router supplied by Spark for my 1Gb Fibre MAX Broadband connection. The new Synology router is so much better, it's very easy to set up and has a great user interface, I had it up and running inside an hour. Over the few weeks since I bought it I have noticed the Synology is much more stable and has not needed to be "re-booted" at all. Compare that to my old Spark router and I was always haveing to re-boot it because the WiFi had stopped working or the connection to the internet had dropped out.
