My previous extender was playing up intermittently losing connection or boosting capability so I decided to look for an upgrade
This one read well with the specifications and reviews so I chose it.
The setup was reasonably straight forward and I get a good signal in my workspace which is in a detached office from the house.
It uses the same wifir network name as the router which has pros and cons. The pro is that idevices can automatically configure to the credentials they alrwdy have. Happy with the product, has meant our wifi is working much better although we still seem to lose coverage every now and again but much better than old extender.

This extender will work with any 3rd party router and create a mesh network, whereby using a single SSID and allow for seamless roaming.

Really happy with this purchase. I was skeptical that i would be able to set it up as i am not tech savvy but the instructions were brilliant and i now get superb service in my basement office. I have two of these now in different locations. Both work really well to spread the connection throughout the house and are reasonably easy to set up and use even for a boomer like me!

My only problem so far is being able to access the app for both extenders which doesn't seem to be an option (yet?) using the app. I have two of these now in different locations. I was having issues with WiFi dropping in parts of the house and replaced the modem (Spark) and extender with recommended Netgear products and its made a huge difference for our family network users. Highly recommend this extender and also the Night Hawk modems. Easy setup with good range. Bought to connect to an Av receiver and 4k blue ray player, so far has been very reliable, after 1 month, haven't had to reboot and now have wifi 6 feed. Only draw back is the bright lights but fixed that by putting it behind my TV. Would recommend to anyone who needs a excellent wifi 6 extender that hates having to reboot frequently, bonus is having 4 Ethernet ports. Easy setup with good range. I am happy with my purchase of the NETGEAR Nighthawk Wifi Extender. It was relatively easy to set up and the app gives me total control.

However, I am totally unhappy with seeing PB Tech turn up now on almost every page of almost every website I browse. I don't know or care how they do it but I find it totally saturating and invasive, like a blunt instrument. On the strength of this alone, I would not recommend PB Tech to anyone.
