Caught Fire
Bought on 28-09-2022 for a AI rig that has sustained 700W load.
Started getting a plastic smell 10-02-2024.
Looked over couldnt see any faults.
Tripped over current protection 14-02-2024
Inspected computer couldn't find any issue so switched back on. Hour later smoke coming out of it and its fried the wall plug.
Contacted NZXT. They blamed the 3090 GPU and rejected warranty after asking for parts list. Computer still all works fine on another PSU.
NZXT added to my never buy from again list.
Great Power Supply
Have purchased this to replace my 750W supply that was starting to fault in my recording studio PC. As the NZXT C Series V2 1000W has the fan that only turns on when necessary it has helped with keeping the ambient noise level down in the control room. It's got plenty of power in reserve so fully fills my needs, very happy with it. Easy to install, but definitely make sure you use the supplied power cables and don't just plug in existing cables - they appear to have their own configuration at the power supply end of the cables. Packaging is all very nice - I guess we have Steve Jobs to thank for moving away from plain cardboard boxes... ...view more
