First let me say that this is over specified for my home usage, but that's a small price to pay for such an easy-to-use printer scanner. It was a beast to set up. However now that it's going I've never seen anything as easy to use. It also produces precision print and high quality scans. So, don't worry about the size of the thing, it just does the job! For a MFC printer good value for the money. Colour printing is way over-rated imho, for basic home or small business use, so we went B&W laser. Good sized paper tray, quiet-ish printing noise, what you would expect, does not drown out your Metallica in the office. For a MFC printer good value for the money. Bought this printer to replace a standard black and white laser printer as we needed a scanning function.
This printer is great for high speed high volume printing. My wife is a teacher so is putting 1000 pages a week throught this currently.
The wife means it can be in the office while shes in the lounge.
Printer is quiet too so doesn't distract my work. Bought this printer to replace a standard black and white laser printer as we needed a scanning function.

The printer was easily set up through wifi and we were even able to use it in our new house without an internet connection with just a local area network. It is fast and easy to use. Make sure you hold onto the setup disc. Likewise, we would have liked to have more cables come with the printer for a more streamlined offline setup. Overall we are happy with our purchase and we haven't been disappointed by Brother products so far. This printer is very easy to setup. I had it on my LAN and working really easily. Prints both sides and even has a document feeder.
The only thing not to like is the many plastic bags and large pieces of polystyrene packaging. HTH am I going to get rid of the polystyrene when it's not accepted for recycling?
