Apple HomePod Mini Smart Home WiFi Speaker - Blue - Room-filling 360° sound with AirPlay, HomeKit Smart Home control, Private & Secure, Seamless integration with iPhone

Has this a month now after we got fed up with Alexa being useless. HomePod does a much better job of interpreting your ask but is still limited in some aspects - challenging to play from Spotify and radio but much better at executing instructions than Alexa.

Upgraded from Amazon Echo to Apple Home Pod and I loved the sound quality! The best thing I like about the home pod is, it only responds to 'Hey Siri' unlike Amazon echo firing up on randomly just to interrupt at absolute unexpected times.
Home pod does not support many popular music apps but, those can always be used from one's iPhone. Upgraded from Amazon Echo to Apple Home Pod and I loved the sound quality! The pod has to be plugged in but it works really well. The hub is voice-activated and will do the usual e.g. sync to phones and Macs, play music or podcasts, give the weather report, etc. Suits my needs. Ours was for the lounge to replace our old speakers connected to the TV. Great sound. Love the intercom feature! Even when you're outside of the house, you can send simple messages to other 'Homes'.

Cons:
1. Since it works through a WiFi network, watching streaming shows is best, not for videos that are saved on a laptop, for example. There is a lag...it needs to catch up.
2. Doesn't support Spotify yet but in time, I think it will be like the rest of the other devices.

It's definitely better than having Siri on the phone! Might get another one for the office. :)

Siri picks up my voice no matter how noisy the background sound in the room is.
If only Spotify and Ring were to add compatibility to HomePod Mini, then it would be perfect.
