These little Edifiers are the best speakers I've bought in the last ten years. They aren't built to create a large volume of sound, but the sound is clear, crisp, and well-rounded. They provide quite sufficient bass response to fill a room at a reasonable volume. The Optical input and Bluetooth input were major selling points for me, and both function very well. The bluetooth implementation in particular is extremely user-friendly. I would absolutely buy these again. These little Edifiers are the best speakers I've bought in the last ten years. We've got these plugged directly into the optical output of our 4k TV, and the sound is quite a bit clearer than the previous speakers we were using (and way better than the TV speakers). The tiny remote is a real bonus too (our previous speakers didn't have one). The sound is really good - they aren't going to shake the walls but they are more than loud enough to ensure you get a good experience from movies and music. The bass is surprisingly good too (not quite as good as having a sub, but there's plenty there if you like your bass). Bought these as my old 2.1 system stopped working. I was hesitant not having a sub however they do not disappoint, loud, good clarity and great bass. love the wood look, fits in nicely with my set up. Only con I can think of is cables are a little short for how I wanted to set them up, you have approx. 1.2m -1.5m of power cable and RCA so the main unit has to be close to your PC/power source. Managed to get them set up on the shelves above my desk with little fuss though. Comes with a 3.5mm cable adapter which was handy. I haven't used the Bluetooth yet so can't comment on it. I have had Logitech before but they only seem to last a few and get distortion and a weak sound with static. These speakers were purchased for my computer but were so good I use them for my TV. Quality finish, the Bluetooth connection is seamless, there is enough bass without having to have a subwoofer (this application is in a small room, probably 20 sq/m area. I got them on one of PB Tech's deals which make it real good value for money. I have a set of M-audio studio monitors and there is certainly not a big difference in clarity. You need a little space behind the speakers for the woofer to function optimally so just make sure of the depth of the book shelfs. I love these speakers! Our micro stereo system broke and these speakers connect to our TV and have Bluetooth so we can play anything on them from our phones. The sound is amazing, way better than our previous system! I love these speakers! All I wanted was better sound than I got from my laptop speakers. These speakers exceeded my expectations. Plenty of bass, enhanced by having them sit directly on my wooden desk. Clear sound (starts to distort a bit at extreme volume, but I never need it that high). I work in a home office in a building separate from my house. The speakers are plenty loud enough to hear clearly when outside the room in the garden. They look stylish and come with all the cables you need to connect to pretty much any source. Great value. Yes, they only output 42W, but they work well all the way up to that power without distorting. Perfect for PC and smaller home audio setups. Mine are set to almost full gain on the bass, and touch of the treble boost. Gives a fairly full sound.
