This is an amazing upgrade from the Kobo Aura HD from 10 years ago. this is the closest one in size, weight and feel from the new range.

I bought this to replace an aging Kindle. I also wanted the page turn buttons. The Kobo meets all expectations. It has an excellent screen and handles a wide range of file types. Very happy so far. Have had my Kobo for a few weeks now and while I was on the fence about buying it initially, I'm really happy with this purchase. Good comfortable size, responsive, easy to get books loaded or read via Overdrive, good balance of features and simplicity. Would recommend! Easy to use and navigate on the ereader. Has physical buttons as well as touchscreen so screen doesn't get as dirty. Can easily listen to audiobooks or read a book. For years I resisted getting a e-reader and now I'm wondering why. The Libre 2 is excellent, light and comfortable in the hand, fast and responsive, great battery life, huge storage, built-in WiFi, and the lighting options are great for reading in the light or in the dark. I love the physical page-turn buttons. And none of the Amazon tie-ins of a Kindle! I've finished a dozen books in about 6 weeks, it has actually restored my enjoyment of reading for pleasure. The side buttons are a great addition to the comfort of long term reading. Just sitting in bed I can easily read something while holding a drink in the other hand. Product is fast and responsive! The waterproof aspect was the selling point, renting books is a little painful, but that more to do with impatience.

Love the controls and the buttons are very good to use. The backlighting is great and love how you can change it to warner colours for viewing at night. I was looking for an ereader capable of easily accessing library books (via Overdrive) and read pdfs. This device does that.
