It works ok but flicks off screens occasionally, not sure if its my setup.

I bought this docking station to connect 2 screens to my laptop so I could work from home. This dock is meant to be able to handle 2 HDMI connectings at 4K, however, I found it consistenly struggled to connect to my 2 QHD monitors, which in theory, it should have easily been able to support.

Everytime I would try and connect the dock and 2 screens to my laptop, it would cause my screens to glitch out terribly, turning on and off and flashing colours. I would have to disconnect one monitor, let the remaining connected monitor establish a connection through the dock to the laptop, then plug the other monitor back in. After having to go through this routine EVERY SINGLE TIME I would connect my laptop, the monitors would then randomly turn off and on throughout use.

It ended up being really frustrating using this dock so I investested in a higher quality docking station which works amazingly, no glitching at all.

I don't think this is the worst dock out there, but it's definitely not very high-powered unit.

The issue is clearly internal to the dock — both monitors and every other part of my setup work perfectly on their own.
It will briefly appear to work, then fail again. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot, it’s clear this model has stability issues with its DisplayPort/MST output and isn’t dependable for dual-screen use. part from purchasing the power supply separate $$ works pretty good so far. What's connected - two monitors, Acer laptop, keyboard, mouse, charging my phone and so on.
