Switchwerk SW12AU 5V 2.4A 12W USB Wall Charger for Phones / Tablet

Whoever designed this unit deserves high praise. It works perfectly, looks good, its circuitry is obviously well-engineered (in New Zealand), and its compact size means it fits neatly into a power-point or on the end of an extension lead. I bought it to power a USB digital clock, which only needs 5V and doesn't draw much current, so the 2.4A output of this unit is ample, and never even gets slightly warm. Compared to the dynamix charger with its noticeable coil whine and not to mention hot to the touch. this is worth the few extra bucks for the peace of mind knowing your house won't burst into flames or just kill whatever device is being charged. I've used many many many different third-party wall adapters and Switchwerk have become my favourite. I've had another one of their adapters for over five years and it's still going strong. Simple aesthetic and designed in New Zealand. No weird buzzing sounds that you can get with other affordable wall adapters.
