This enclosure will let you m.2 SSD get extremely hot. Sure it's aluminum, but for it to be an effective heatsink the chips on the top of the heatsink need to touch the aluminum with a heat transfer material. As it's domed at the top there's no way for it to contact. The SSD gets quite hot. This is fine for occasional transfers, but no good for long term use. The enclosure is very well packaged.

Comes with 2 x cables! (the 2nd one for USB-A connector to C)

I didn't get a spare plastic "fastener" that they use instead of screws. This works very well and is not too fidly at all (very handy when swapping/using mumtiple NVMEs)

The thermal pad is great! However, as mentioned by another reviewer, the case doesn't alllow contact at all! Which defeats it's purpose.

The only trick I found was to use more pads to double the thickness (this in turn makes is harder to insert and remove. This means the thermal pad is touching the case!!)

GREAT enclosure... Bar that one flaw.

Worked well for cloning my system drive to something bigger.
Reading instructions is a good idea because plastic retaining screw that holds free end of card can be fiddly/fragile.

The enclosure comes with 2 usb cords a spare screw to hold the drive in place.easy to follow instructions if you need them computer picked it up straight away no problems. Comfortable to handle and cables fit into sockets easily. Very impressed. Recommended to me by PB Tech staff.
