I own a Kenwood Carplay unit which does not provide a wireless connection. To use Apple Maps I had to plug the usb cable into my iPhone. With this wireless dongle it automatically connects via wireless. Easy to set up and use. My only regret is not buying this dongle earlier!! Life is so much easier now.
