Works well.

Although a little difficult to install with a wall mounted TV (keep knocking the camera off when putting TV back onto wall/mount), the backing tape needs the surface to be PERFECTLY clean to adhere to properly. Works well.

Ideally you'll be using this on a wall mounted tv, to be fair it will light up a background, but it REALLY performs on a light/white wall.

I've tried addons ( android tv so there are apps) and streaming plugins, and these then control other lights like hue's or other wifi rgb's. The issue you typically end up with is latency, and it gives that roller coaster or bust effect like how a firework will spread from the inside out. This product doesnt suffer from that at all.

Its instant, having anything that gets to the edge of the screen bloom off out into your wall as if your expensive flat screen tv had even more awesome up its sleeves.

You will need a well lit room to set it up, and make sure your tv is within the dimensions for this kit or get the bigger one if over. It'll send a picture from the camera on the stalk to your phone, and gives you a number of little pads to stick in the corners so it needs to be able to "see" them to calibrate the scanner app in the dongle. You dont explicitly have to take your tv off the wall if you can reach the back of every part of it, but you will need to properly clean the dust that'll be there off the inch or 2 inside the thing before setting everything up.

Totally worth it.
