The wife and I are upgrading our cables (we were using CAT5 - ugh). So far these cables have been great. The plug is really sturdy so no worries about it coming unplugged anytime soon. It enabled me to get from the Xbox to the router to test our speeds direct through the cables; downside with having the router in the middle of the house. Cat 6a cable was unable to connect at 1Gbps on my 1Gb router. Consistently connected at 100Mbps, even after ensuring no power cables were in the way. Interestingly enough the cable did connect at 1 Gbps over a direct computer connection, but that doesn't really work for the purpose I bought the cable.

Tried a similar cat 6a 20m cable I bought at the same time on the same router and same ports and no issues, connected at 1Gbps.
Suspect cable connectors on 40m cable are not up to standard. Length should not be an issue with cat 6a. Will be a return. Cat 6a cable was unable to connect at 1Gbps on my 1Gb router. Other Ethernet cables we have used were quite flimsy and only lasted a few weeks then 'broke'. This Ethernet cable is sturdy and (so far) works very well !
