I've found this cable actually felt a lot more robust than other thin ones I've owned from elsewhere. Cable definitely has the goods with double twisted wiring inside and producing good speed to my console. Using the cable to take LAN connection to my bedroom. Tested the speed and seems like it's not dropping. So, it does the job and price is good I think. Just the right length cable, nice colour and so much faster than the buggy WiFi. It does exactly what it says on the tin, so, I'd buy it again and it's good to have a bit length as backup, just in case... Appears to be a perfectly functional cable, however, there are no specs printed on it nor branding on the cable or packaging; the boot profile is also different to 8ware cables I already own. I have no testing equipment nor any 10G interfaces so I cannot confirm if it lives up to Cat6a spec. The plug pins appear to be simple steel.

Overall it may be a knock off, or 8ware have lowered their standards.
