I am using 2560 × 1080 resolution monitor with 200 hz. using HDMI cable, it couldn't detect higher than 160 hz, but using this cable, I can play with 200 hz and 1 ms response time. The MacBook pro could only drive one monitor at a time via display port on my dell monitors and dell usb docking station. Switching to using these cables sorted it out. This cable did not work for my laptop as USB C is a broad term and not inclusive for every machine or device. It did work well on another test device, and I give it a four star for that goodness. If you need a cable for your Laptop to plug on high end gaming 4k monitor it is a good choice. My laptop have only Usb-c for the dedicated gpu output so i had to find a cable that can handle 4k 120hz HDR.
Before you buy it:
-Make sure that your monitor have display port 1.4 connection.
-Make sure that your monitor is at least more than 2560x1440p resolution with high refresh rate, otherwise the display port 1.2 is enough.
