By chance I learned that Cat6 cable can boost browsing speeds where lower speed cable is a bottleneck. This proved true in my case where I think I had cat5 cable in places. Definitely worth buying if you have cat5 or lower installed. This wsa cable from my PC to the modem/router. This cable was a bit more expensive than some of the other options, but is also visibly thicker and rounder, rather than having a slightly flat or twisted profile. I was running it around the perimeter of my lounge, so I wanted it to lay straight, and look good. Very happy.
