I bought this to link a larger monitor screen with my laptop, but unfortunately this lead does not work. I am unsure whether I purchased the wrong connection and have been advised that I can take it back once lockdown ends. In the meantime, I am unsure what connection to purchase and have been unable to achieve my aim.

This cable worked perfect to drive one display. However, when it was plugged into an HDMI splitter it sometimes didn't recognize the display output so the PC wouldn't output to the displays connected to the splitter.
