Purchased recently along with a number of other components during a recent computer build, with a 48" Samsung TV being used as the monitor. This cable worked well in respect of getting the sound and picture to the TV. Unfortunately, once the TV was turned off (automatically switching off the soundbar which is connected via the TV's HDMI/ARC socket) that was the end of any sound until the HDMIDP cable was unplugged from the computer and both the TV/soundbar power-cycled. Several hours of unsuccessful experimenting went into trying to resolve this situation and I ended up having to use an HDMI cable instead. bought because my GPU does not have DP for 4K monitor to run at 60HZ but it however it is unable to do 4K so it does not work.
