So I bought a set of these hoping to tidy up the PSU Cables in my rig, especially the Dual 6+2 PCI-E Adapters, but what I've essentially found was they're not as neat as you'd hope they'd be, and the manufacturing quality is terrible - to the point that I'm relieved my system still works having had issues with them in, to the point where I thought I'd bricked my GPU.

Second complaint (and the deal breaker for me) - the cable quality. So the actual cables themselves are all good (I think), where I had issues was the connectors and the pins specifically - I found on all 4 of the connectors that when you plugged them into your original PSU cables, the pins wouldn't stay in, and at least one per connector had come out, if not more (3 on one of them). So naturally you'd think click them into place using a pinning tool and you're good to go right? Unfortunately not - even when all the pins were in, I had a POST error saying to plug my GPU Power connections in, and then when the system was buttoned up and running, it randomly dropped power to my GPU causing the screens to go black and have the GPU fans ramp to maximum - not exactly what you want to see. I opened it up again, and couldn't see any visible issues with the cabling, but it seems even moving them would cause connections to drop out, so I definitely don't have any faith in these anymore - the last thing you want to do is short something they're connected to, which is unfortunately all the expensive bits of a computer!

I would definitely exercise caution, and maybe even try another brand - again do you really want to risk a motherboard, CPU or GPU? I don't, so unfortunately pretty will have to wait.

The cables work perfectly. If you are building your first system however, keep in mind that these cables are made to look good and nothing else, handle them by the black casings of the ports at the ends of the cables as it is easy to pull the cables out of the housing.

Other than sending free sandwiches with the products, I struggle to think of ways PbTech could make things better. 9 times out of 10 my orders show up the day after ordering. Excellent service. these extensions are a lovely bit of colour, for those that want to bling up their build.

pack has the 2 x 6+2 PCIE extensions so if you are going to get the newer and power hungry GPU's that need 3 cables, look to add one more pack, or a stand alone cable.
