Eufy S220 2K Outdoor Wire-Free Video Doorbell - Add-on

Purchased this to add to our camera system but unfortunately the first one had a video problem and the night vision filter was stuck on. I did take it back to the Tauranga branch and they exchanged it for a replacement that works fine. All in all a good product and thanks to the service person at Tauranga PB Tech. After reading the reviews and watching many youtube videos we thought this product would be ideal. However we were very disappointed with it. It only detects motion 70% of the time (may be less) even when we stand in front of it jumping up and down and waving our arms around. We bought a $30 security light somewhere else and it goes off without fail every time it detects motion so why cant a product that costs hundreds of dollars? Yes we followed all the guides etc in setting it up and all the troubleshooting tips. So, I purchased a Ring doorbell a year or two ago and I was soo disappointed with it.
So decided to buy this Eufy one. It’s awesome, comes with a battery and has the ability to be wired as well. The quality is fantastic, works with google home, stores all video on the Eufy home base so I can review footage and any point in time, and Eufy is smart enough to detect humans, setting off the alarm if you have that setup.

So far we are quite happy with our purchase and it works well with all the other Eufy things we have installed. The pictures are clear daytime and night time. However it goes offline quite a lot and although we have changed around the settings & location with the wifi and the home base this issue continues. for the most part however, we are happy with this purchase. Great produce for the price, however first setup was worrying as camera viewing showed pink. Researched review and logged call. A wee movement sorted it out for now. The 2k doorbell camera not that good compared to the 2k Pro, not sure if it was related to the pink situation or not. However a bit dark, changed settings etc as instructed. Will monitor to ensure it does not pivot back to pink and research further about pink, slight darkness is related. Else the sound /mic is good. i have had this for just over 1 month now. i bought this too add to my homebase and 4 outdoor cameras (also highly impressed with that package). again, super easy to set up and install and have working with my other Eufy products. im very happy with the picture quality and functionality. looks very smart on at the front door works well picking up faces when someone comes to the door. also comes in the fanciest packaging, unnecessary but still quite impressive.

the only small con i have to say about this also relates to the cameras and homebase, Eufy needs to have an extra siren or alarm attachment you can have in the house. when someone rings the door bell, the bell itself makes a chime, our phones get notified and the home base chimes however the homebase is not so loud. while i could hear this in the bedrooms, i defo could not hear it if i was out at the patio or in the kitchen with tv, extractor fan on etc. so if i didnt have my phone on me, i wouldnt hear the door bell. its not such a big issue as generally me or my wife would have our phones close.
other than that, great purchase and very happy with it. the Eufy system is very adaptable and ill be adding more cameras and sensors to my set up.

Get push notifications on pf one and iPad and door chime ring sound on Home Base2. Had the first one for a year after losing the chime ring on my phone. Bought this one with the hope that it will ring my phone but no, feature not available anymore. Apart from that, it work well and reliable , easy and quick to connect via wifi all the time.
