TP-Link Tapo C320WS V2 4MP/2K+ Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera with Spotlight

Excellent camera for the price. The image quality is good and the full colour video option for night is great. Also the application is really good and has great customisation for notifications so that you can reduce the number of unrequired notifications that you receive. The only complaint is that I wish they included a 5m power cord as the supplied 3m cord affects where the camera can be mounted as it has to be so close to a power outlet. This camera need to be connected to a power outlet and it's front surface has no protection from rain. That said, it works well for me. Certainly the price is right. I'm using it under our house. It's primary purpose is to give me a remote view of our old heating boiler front panel. The spotlight is useful if I have to go down there to check anything out. Perhaps I have not hit on the right option, but on a motion detection events, the spotlight only comes on while the event continues, there is no way to alter the duration (except to have it always on at night). However there is a manual-on option in the phone-app that can hold light on for up to 30 minutes. I like the tapo-app, I've using it with a couple of other tapo-cameras for home security. If I needed a fully-wireless camera, I would have considered the Tapo C425 kit which comes with a solar panel.

I run all my 4x cameras Ethernet Cable works heaps better the wireless.
No POE , But im turning it into a POE Theses cameras run 9V to the power so i have more then 2 network switches controlling things around the house. The best cheap option for this setup.

it's all good until it rains or if this camera is mounted hear to security spotlights. This unit has no lens hood/shroud, to prevent rain getting on the front lens and sensors, and to prevent light from other sources to spilling into the front. If both or either of these occur it makes the image useless.
I remedied this by mounting a cover (available from temu - $10) above the camera.
UPDATE - I found this cover at TEMU that does the job perfectly. Now there is a convenient nesting spot up high, for some homeless avians.

This is my third purchase of the Tapo security camera range, this is the upgraded version of the Tapo C310 which I already have been happily using. This has the Starlight sensor which gives more low light capabilities and also has twin led lights will light up on motion detection, great for placing near an entry door as it will be bright enough to light up the front door. I have used other brands of cameras for the past 3 years and the Tapo app on Android is by far the best for ease of use and functionality, one tap to switch on Privacy Mode to stop all recording and viewing, turn on/off the led lights, switch alarm mode on/off. The thumbnails for playback are quite large and informative, as it will indicate that it has recorded the type of motion for persons/vehicles/animals. I have this mounted facing the street and find that the street lighting is enough for me to leave it Day mode to show in colour night vision, whereas the Night mode is only Grey with the built in IR. Takes up to 512Gb microsd card. A good value, affordable solution and a recommended purchase.

The camera has a great quality picture & wide angle. The only let down is the cable for hard wired modem cable does not have a waterproof blanking cap when used outdoors. I had to tape it up & hopefully have waterproofed it enough. The camera has a great quality picture & wide angle. Great camera, how ever it states it’s a wireless outdoor camera but you need a power source I think the label wasn’t that clear as you would be better off buying an indoor camera.
