TP-Link Tapo P110 Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug with Energy Monitoring

New to all this smart-home stuff, but thought I'd try this to run the Christmas lights and save me having to fish around behind a table to switch them on/off.

I bought 6 of these and they’ve mostly been good. However one just failed badly. Luckily I heard its relay rapidly clicking away and investigated. It was plugged into my chest freezer - full of my own grown beef steak - to monitor it. Almost the worst thing you could do to an effing freezer is keep turning it on/off every second! Probably by coincidence I recently plugged my Starlink into one of these to monitor it, and it died a couple of days later. Would be far better if these just “died” rather than keep switching on/off! This product works very well it's easy to set up taking less than a minute and easy to use. You can control it remotely away from home and you can setup timers where it'll automatically turn off or turn on at specific times. I'm using it for a server so I can remotely turn it on when needed and remotely turn it off again when no longer in use, I've had it for a month now and it's such a great purchase. Bought one and used it for scheduling my EV charger. It works so great that I bought a second one for other uses. It is good value for money. The app has many functions. Tapo app is intuitive. We have several Tapo plugs and devices around the house. Mainly used as a timer for heaters in bedrooms. Another one is used on a granny charger for our plug-in EV. It can be used to turn ON and OFF based on the schedule you assign.
