Love these, this is the 2nd one ive purchased, first one powers my home theatre system and allows me to turrn it off without having to get behind the system

Have had about 10 of these in my house for the last 3-4 months. Don't expect them to integrate with Apple (Siri?) or Home Assistant - they're for Google Assistant and Alexa only.
Everything that is advertised that these plugs do, they do very well and reliably, with easy to use and highly informative software - although the software dosen't do automations. Use Google Home for that.
Great for being able to tell what is the most cost effective heating solution. Ask your sparky to put wall socket plugs on your hot water cylinders / aircon and you can monitor those as well.

I bought this so I can have a smart electric blanket. After price checking, got this and I have a electric blanket from Briscoes. I can have a smart blanket that heats up on schedule or on remote. This thing is amazing, it has schedules and timer. Now on cold nights, I can set it on for 30 minutes and it goes off after that. Imagine other stuff you can do with this!!!! Does what it says, though I wish it could function without being connected to the internet all the time. The app is pretty lackluster as well, it offers simple on/off toggles and everything else has to be done via Google Home/etc (although it is not supported by Home Assistant!!). If you only want to turn a switch on and off remotely on a schedule, find out how much power it used, and you're happy to use the Tapo app on your phone that *only* works with Tapo devices, great.

In summary, this is a great bit of kit but it's all alone by itself on a very lonely island whereas the rest of my "smart" stuff is nicely integrated and works in with Home Assistant.
