I already had one of these set up for my Christmas lights, I bought two more, and the app immediately detected the new wifi-plugs and added them to the app. Added the new plugs into the group and now all my ligts are in sync, turning on at sunset and off at 11pm. Magic. I’m really happy with the TP-Link Tapo P110M Mini Smart Wi-Fi Plug. Setup was quick and easy through the Tapo app, and once connected, it works smoothly. You can schedule different times for your devices or even control them remotely online, which is very convenient. Definitely recommend it! I've bought similar ones, but these have energy monitoring, allowing us to see how much energy is being used. This is great if we want to use something electrical on the boat, we will know if the inverter will power it ok. Bought for a plug behind couch which had some lights plugged into. Wanted to be able to turn on without getting behind couch and works really well. Easy to setup with Tapo app. Recommended. Given we now get a 20% discount on our electricity usage between 9pm and 7am, I wanted a smart plug to control charging our EV in the garage. I’ve got it currently setup to only automatically charge one night a week but may add another night. I like how it also records the actual kWh and the cost too. That should allow me to calculate the efficiency of the charging system. It lets me turn on and off whatever I plug into it remotely which is a big part of why I purchased it. The power monitoring while nice could be better.
