I have a few Tapo smart home products and have generally been very impressed with their performance and app interface. I purchased this camera as it did not require wiring in for power. " However, the battery lasts for less than 48 hours when set with the maximum settings. Therefore you have to throttle back the settings so the image is of a poorer quality, or the camera is "woken up' less. Apart from the battery life, the camera is a great piece of kit for the price. I will purchase the solar panel to go with the camera to overcome the battery life.

The camera is great. The only bad thing is night mode. If you leave it in infrared mode it will not activateby motion or record anything. Couple of things that doesn't work with this camera which makes me really frustrated.

1. It doesn't detect people and cars properly
2. Sometimes notification doesn't work
3. Battery drains faster than what it says
4. Led lights are not that bright

Just as described - crisp clear images, however needs strong wifi signal from house to get the best out of it. I use a wifi booster and it does the trick as i live rural. The battery life is incredible. I bought the solar pack to make powering effortless. I fitted 1 Camera with the solar unit 100% battery constantly, the other camera i am just running off battery - 85% , both have been installed now for 14 days. Very impressed with both. We replaced our Arlo system with Tapo and are very satisfied - wish we had done it sooner! Great small delights on the app like an alert when the camera is fully charged. I have purchased three cameras for my house. The C425 camera’s performance is just average, and I was expecting a brighter and clearer image. Unfortunately, the pixel quality is below expectations. It is very difficult to recognise faces, as the image becomes blurry from a distance, and when zooming in, the pixels break and lose clarity. I am still testing the motion detection feature and will provide further feedback later. I have purchased three cameras for my house. Relatively easy to setup and simple to connect to the app. Like this product a lot for surveillance. Camera detail is great. Definitely recommend this product.
