AMD Ryzen 5 5600 CPU

I believe that a Ryzen 5 5500 would have performed very nearly as well for my 1080p budget gaming set up; however, I had a motherboard supporting pcie4.0 and a GPU supporting pcie4.0, so didn't want the 5500 that only supports pcie3.0, and I chose this 5600 as the next cheapest suitable option with pcie4.0 support for use with B550M motherboards. It really makes practically nil difference for gaming though, and I'd go for the 5500 if you don't want to spend more than you need and don't have any special need for pcie4.0. Upgraded from an R5 1600 and that was a damn fine chip but this one is another level entirely, so quick and so quiet I can barely even tell it's running most of the time. Installation was also really easy and it booted up straight off on my old B350 board. Since the am5 came out, people believe am4 is dead but that's not the case! If you're looking to build a budget gaming MACHINE, then this am4 CPU is your best option. it uses the older but legendary am4 socket meaning its much cheaper new and used then am5. don't let price fool you because it's still relevant in modern gaming! I have been using this CPU with a 3080 and it SMASHES 1440 and 4k gaming with little to none bottlenecking. overall, 100% recommend for a budget build or an am4 upgrade. Got this CPU so that I can play Helldivers 2 at a stable frame-rate. Preforms well in most/all games with my 1660 SC GPU while multitasking with YouTube and Discord VCs. I bought this CPU to replace an 1800X I had in the Unraid server. Not only is it more powerful, it uses less power from the wall and most importantly, is still available for the AM4 platform. The CPU is great for the price, could be a little cheaper, but its the price of it. The stock cooler is not good however, as it still allows the cpu to reach temps of 96. Not good.
